Our cozy cabins and peaceful setting invite relaxation. Consider vacationing with your dogs; they're welcome at Columbine, too.

We get lots of snow here in Columbine during the winter months, 120 inches each year. You can hike or ski from your cabin door. The peak of the fall colors are typically viewed in mid to late October. We're open summer, fall, and winter; so come on up and get out of town.

Columbine is located 29 miles north of Steamboat Springs on scenic County Road 129, which is paved and plowed to our driveway.

Our lodging accommodations are within the boundaries of the Routt National Forest which provides excellent hunting for Elk and mule deer. Our rental cabins and other buildings are scattered among aspen trees and evergreens, each with a dramatic view of Hahns Peak.

Columbine Cabins contains the Columbine Historic District, which holds National Historic Register designation. Many of our buildings date from the late 1800's when Columbine was a gold mining town.

Our rental cabins feature furnished kitchens, most having hot and cold running water at the sink. They have comfortable beds with bedding provided, a dining area, and porches with seating. Most cabins have wood cookstoves with firewood provided, as well as backup electric heat. Bathroom facilities in the cabins vary; some cabins have toilets and a few even have showers or tubs. See the individual cabin descriptions for specifics.

A centrally located lodge provides clean, modern bathrooms with showers. Upstairs in the lodge is a common room with pool table, couches, books and puzzles, along with a spectacular view. A wood fired steam sauna, picnic tables, and a community fire ring are available for guest use.

The new kitchen building provides an indoor dining area, commercial kitchen and outdoor grill. Kitchen building is available to rent for large groups. An adjacent tent pad provides space for an outdoor events, large tent or portable awnings (guest would provide tent), to accommodate outdoor group dining. You may cook yourself, hire a chef, or use a caterer - the choice is yours.
